Profil de dégustation
Distilled in 2008 at Nikka’s celebrated Miyagikyo Distillery near Sendai, this 10-year-old single malt exemplifies the distillery’s signature lighter, more delicate character. Expect a refined nose of fresh orchard fruit, fragrant florals and gentle vanilla, underpinned by soft caramel and a hint of oak. The palate is silky and elegant, offering ripe pear, honeysuckle and subtle spice before a clean, medium-length finish with a whisper of toasted wood. A rare pre-2015 age-stated expression from one of Japan’s most esteemed distilleries.
Accords avec les aliments
Pair with delicate Japanese cuisine such as sashimi or scallop carpaccio, where the whisky’s floral elegance complements the subtle briny sweetness. Alternatively, serve alongside a classic crème brûlée — the vanilla and caramel notes in both create a seamlessly harmonious dessert pairing.
