Fremont’s 10th Anniversary Stout is a masterclass in barrel-aged blending. Pouring jet black with a mocha-tinted head, the nose delivers chocolate fudge, roasted malt, sweet bourbon, coconut, and vanilla. On the palate, espresso and bittersweet dark chocolate are met by creamy vanilla from the ex-vanilla-extract barrels, while tart Montmorency cherries add a subtle fruity counterpoint. The mouthfeel is velvety smooth and medium-bodied, drinking far below its 12.2% ABV. A long, warming finish of oak, caramel, and coconut rounds out this celebrated Pacific Northwest release.

Food Pairing

Serve alongside a dark chocolate ganache tart with salted caramel — the beer’s vanilla and bourbon notes amplify the bittersweet cocoa beautifully.
