Tasting Profile
The 2019 Château Lascombes is a polished and refined expression of Margaux at its finest. On the nose, fresh violet, black cherry and blackcurrant open to layers of cocoa powder, coffee grounds and anise. The palate is rich and velvety, with an elegant concentration of dark fruit framed by fine-grained, seamless tannins and bright underlying acidity. A blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, it delivers power and finesse in equal measure. The finish is long, expressive and beautifully sustained — a wine built for two decades of cellaring.
Food Pairing
An ideal match for a slow-roasted rack of lamb with rosemary and garlic jus, where the wine’s ripe dark fruit and silky tannins shine. Equally compelling alongside a dry-aged Côte de Boeuf, its structured depth cutting through the richness of the meat with effortless elegance.
