Aisla is a monumental barrel-aged Imperial Stout from Bevog Brewery in Bad Radkersburg, Austria. At 15% ABV, it pours jet-black and impossibly dense, announcing its intentions immediately. The nose is a dramatic interplay of smouldering, peated smoke from Laphroaig casks and a cushioning warmth of sweet caramel and vanilla drawn from bourbon barrels. On the palate, rich dark roasted malt forms the backbone, while layers of dark chocolate, leather, and a lingering peaty dryness unfold sip after sip. The finish is long, warming, and deeply complex — a true collector’s sipper.

Food Pairing

Pair with a 70%+ dark chocolate and sea-salt tasting board, where the cocoa bitterness echoes the stout’s roasted depth. Alternatively, serve alongside a slow-braised beef short rib glazed with smoked molasses, letting the bourbon-barrel sweetness bridge the richness of the meat.
