Profil de dégustation
The 2006 Château Branaire-Ducru opens with a medium to deep, dark ruby hue and an inviting nose of rich, ripe black cherry, tobacco, cedarwood, and a touch of meaty depth. On the palate, dark fruit is firm and structured, underpinned by crisp tannins and a lively freshness that reflects the excellent ripening conditions of this vintage. The hallmark Branaire-Ducru elegance shines through — silky, refined, and unmistakably Saint-Julien in character, with a lingering finish of spiced black plum and graphite. A classically styled claret now entering its prime drinking window.
Accords avec les aliments
An ideal match for a slow-roasted rack of lamb with herbed jus, where the wine’s structured tannins and dark fruit find their complement. Equally rewarding alongside aged Comté or a classic beef Wellington, whose savoury depth mirrors the wine’s cedar and meaty complexity.
