Château Lynch-Bages stands among Pauillac’s most beloved estates, a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Classification that consistently performs far above its official ranking. The 90-hectare vineyard occupies the Bages plateau south of Pauillac town, where deep gravel beds provide ideal drainage for Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard thrives on the renowned Bages plateau, where Günzian gravel deposits reach depths of several metres over limestone subsoil. This exceptional terroir provides natural drainage while forcing vines to root deeply, thus concentrating flavours in small, thick-skinned berries. Additionally, the plateau’s gentle elevation ensures optimal sun exposure and air circulation, key factors in producing Cabernet Sauvignon of extraordinary ripeness and structure. Vinification & Ageing
