Tasting Profile
Jacques Selosse Rosé is a benchmark expression of the Blanc de Blancs terroir of Avize, elevated by the house’s signature oxidative winemaking philosophy. The nose opens with delicate wild strawberry, dried rose petal, and brioche, underscored by a distinctive nutty complexity born of barrel vinification. On the palate, silky mousse frames flavours of red cherry, blood orange, toasted hazelnut, and beeswax, with a vibrant, mineral-driven acidity from the Côte des Blancs chalk. The finish is long, saline, and elegantly vinous.
Food Pairing
A superb match for pan-seared duck breast with cherry reduction, where the wine’s red-fruit tension and savory depth find a natural counterpart. Equally compelling alongside a pressed foie gras terrine with fig compote, the wine’s acidity cutting through richness with graceful precision.
