Brewed to celebrate Fremont Brewing’s 7,000th batch, this English-style barleywine pours a deep mahogany brown with minimal head. Built from floor-malted English barley, Noble hops, and aged 16 months in seasoned bourbon barrels, the nose delivers waves of toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, and dried dark fruit. The palate is luxuriously full-bodied, layering molasses, caramel, rum-soaked figs, and dates over a backbone of warm bourbon oak. Low carbonation, a chewy and sticky mouthfeel, and a long, gently warming finish make this an exceptional cellaring candidate that only deepens with time.

Food Pairing

Pair with a well-aged Comté or Gruyère, whose nutty richness echoes the beer’s caramel and toffee notes. Alternatively, serve alongside a slow-braised beef short rib — the molasses and bourbon depth of Brew 7000 cuts through the unctuous richness of the meat with elegant authority.
