On the nose, the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked barrels announce themselves immediately: rich bourbon, caramelised brown sugar, and dark dried fruits — raisins, sun-dried cherries — are layered beneath a whisper of anise and vanilla. The palate is where Gutted truly earns its reputation. The mouthfeel is silky and full-bodied, with a luscious sweetness underpinned by molasses, toffee, and dark stone fruit.
