Brew 6000 is a landmark release from Seattle’s Fremont Brewing, crafted to commemorate their 6,000th batch. Built on floor-malted English barley, Maris Otter Pale and Carafa 2 Special malts, with Noble hops, it pours deep mahogany with a thin tan head. The nose delivers waves of brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, dried fig, and raisin, underpinned by a whiskey-laden bourbon oak depth. On the palate, rich caramel and dark fruit are met with a warming 11.9% ABV, a medium-full body, and a long, sweetly mouthwatering finish. An exceptional cellaring candidate.

The bold sweetness and bourbon-oak character of Brew 6000 pair beautifully with a platter of aged Comté or Gruyère, whose nutty salinity cuts through the richness. Alternatively, serve alongside a slow-braised beef short rib glazed with dark fruit reduction, echoing the beer’s toffee and plum notes.
