The nose is extraordinarily complex: rich caramel and toffee open proceedings, followed by layers of dried dates, dark raisins, and spiced rum lifted from the oak barrel conditioning, with a faint herbaceous, almost Benedictine-like undercurrent rounding out the bouquet.
