Toppling Goliath Brewing Company was founded in 2009 by Clark and Barbara Lewey in Decorah, Iowa — born from a Christmas homebrewing kit that quickly became an obsession. In less than a decade, this unlikely brewery from a small Iowa town became world-renowned, named #2 brewery in the world by Beer Advocate and 2021 US Beer Open Grand National Champions. Their barrel-aged Imperial Stout Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout (KBBS) has been ranked the #1 beer in the world since 2015. Today Toppling Goliath operates from a stunning 52,000 sq ft facility with a 100-barrel brewing system in Decorah, distributing to over 30 states. Equally celebrated for their Pseudo Sue Pale Ale, their Assassin series and the legendary Double Barrel Assassin — aged in bourbon then apple brandy barrels for over two years.
